Ants with Attitude
We aim to understand how insect phenotypes are shaped by their physical and social environments.
Welcome to the Helms Cahan laboratory, based at the University of Vermont. We are a question-driven and collaborative team, using a combination of ecology, behavior, physiology and genetics, in the field and in the lab, to understand a diverse range of fundamental and applied questions in biology. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment, where every member of the research team is valued and can achieve their full potential.
