We’re Keeping Busy!

Check out our research projects.

Over the last 19 (!) years, the Helms Cahan lab has worked on a diverse set of questions, from basic science to solutions-focused applications, integrating multiple levels of organization from developmental mechanisms to physiology to evolutionary dynamics to ecological interactions. We employ a similarly diverse set of research tools, including individual and population genetics and genomics, physiological assays, behavioral analysis, field surveys and experiments, and computational modeling.
